Electronics Assembly Technician
Currently looking for Tech with experience performing high level hand soldering rework, i.e. BGA removal/replacement, hot air rework
1st & 2nd shift positions available
Summary
Operates SMT machines and performs various soldering activities
Reports To
Production Manager
Location
Production Floor
Roles & Responsibilities
- Program, setup, and run jobs on SMT machines
- Perform inspection on and touch up solder defects on PCBAs
- Perform secondary operations (Through-Hole soldering)
- Perform rework of PCBAs
- Perform other various assembly operations such as depaneling, washing, testing, and packaging
- Comply with ESD, QMS (quality management system), OSHA, and other company procedures, programs, or policies
- Produce product in compliance with applicable IPC-A-610 specifications
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Ability to use a computer
- Ability to interpret BOMs, Assembly drawings, Gerbers, etc. for PCBAs
- Ability to solder in accordance with IPC/J-STD requirements
- Experience with SMT equipment
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a team environment
Quality Inspector
Summary
Monitors operations to ensure that they meet production standards

Roles & Responsibilities
- Read and understand Assembly Drawings, Instructions, and specifications
- Perform incoming material inspections (boards, stencils, etc.)
- Perform First Article inspections across all production operations and SMT sub-processes
- Recommend adjustments to the process or assembly
- Perform final QA Inspection of finished products before shipment
- Collect, analyze and summarize information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations
- Generate Certificates of Conformance when necessary
- Perform Rework of assemblies when necessary
- Comply with ESD, QMS (quality management system), OSHA, and other company procedures, programs, or policies
- Train and Certify Electronics Assembly Technicians in applicable IPC/J-STD standards
- Coordinate with Engineering & Production to solve design, documentation, BOM, or assembly issues.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Excel & other common programs
- Ability to interpret BOMs, Assembly drawings, Gerbers, etc. for PCBAs
- Ability to solder and inspect to IPC/J-STD requirements
- Communications skills
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
